::and where did YOU come from::

The weather where I live (Indiana) was amazing today.
I woke up in an amazing mood when I realized my little misters and I were going to get to spend the WHOOLLEE day outside. (I think I was more stoked then them.)
Anywho, around 10 am, I get my (5th) cup of coffee poured (don't judge me, I'm addicted :) and we head outside.

As my little men ran around the yard, having fun and being good (SHOCKING) I decide to make a phone call to my friend, who lives in North Carolina.

So here I am chatting away with my girlfriend and a little boy, 6 years old, comes walking into my back yard.  "Oh, Hi.  You're six, where is your mother?" was all that was running through my head.
No, I didn't say that because of my great ability to keep my mouth shut (just about anyone else in my life would totally disagree with that, but really, who are they?) lol.  I decided Oh, what the heck.. he is a boy, what is it gonna hurt to let him play with my little ones.. throw someone new into the mix.  Right?

So, as I continue to sip my coffee, and carry on with my friend, it's like I blink and there are not one, but TWO more children, 4 yrs & 5 yrs old.

Ok, this to me is getting a little carried away.  I mean did someone put free babysitter to kids 6 and under on my door?  Not that I mind a bit about children playing in my yard with my kiddos, but my concern arouse with what these youngins were doing roaming around the neighborhood UNSUPERVISED by their PARENTS at that.

I mean what do you think?  Is 4,5,6 too young to be roaming around a neighborhood unsupervised? Or am I just a psycho mom??

My whole backyard is fenced in and I don't even let my 2 and 4 year old go out  if I'm not out there.
BLEW MY MIND!!

Ok, so lets fast forward.. after a few HOURS (not a few mins, or even ONE hour.. but 2.5 HOURS) goes by and I decide it's time to go in and take a break.

It then comes to the moment where I am asking these precious little children where they belong.

The first boy who came over, his mommy was in the front yard of his house so I walk over there WITH him ya know only being a 6 year old, he should have supervison still, and tell his mother he was at my house.
Her response:
"oh, ok. Thanks for walking him home." ARGH, very frustrating.

I get to the next two, which I learned at my home, that they were brother and sister. I ask them to point me in the direction of their house, and we begin to walk there.
4&5 years old don't forget.

As we are walking up their driveway I notice the front door WIDE open, with a selection of music playing that didn't fancy me.

I kinda holler, "Hello.." and the mother walks in..

I said
"Hi, I'm Lauren, and your kiddos have been over at my house, and I just wanted to make sure they got home safely"

She looks at me, then at them, then down the street, then back at me and said..
"No wonder it's been so quiet in the house, thanks for walking them home."

OHMYGOSH.

Please tell me where it's acceptable for your kids to be gone for 2.5 hours and you have NO clue they are even gone.  Breaks my heart.

So that was my crazy day.  Although, next time I think I'm gonna bill the parents for caring for their children all day. I love kids, and I'd do it again in a heart beat, but c'mon mama needs paiddd.

Thanks for reading :)

::workout wednesday::

Ok, so it's our first "Workout Wednesday".  The first workout that I decided to introduce is a 3x a day workout, but it's the basics ladies.. nothing too crazy.  It took me all of 20 mins on each set that I did.

I will continue with this workout until next Wednesday, and then give my final thoughts on how I feel it did for my body.  Not that one week of a workout is enough to make a difference, but it's enough to know if it's gonna be worth it in the end. There is a picture below, which explains what is to be done, but I will list each task, in case it is difficult to read.

This caught my eye, because I do not have a TON of time throughout the day to stop everything and work out and it didn't seem too extravagant. Before I break this down though, lets zero in on those abs in the picture.  I don't know about all of you, but that is NOT what I want in a final product of working out, but lets get real, these simple steps, and these steps only probably aren't going to cause those abs :)

10 Push-ups
20 Sit-ups
25 Squats
20 Lunges (10 per leg)
80 Jumping Jacks
60 Second wall sit.

If any of you decide to try this, lets discuss it. Likes/Dislikes ect.

Ok friends... Ready, set, GO!

::trial and error::

Day two!!  I am even more excited today than I was yesterday!  At first I feel like I need to still figure out this whole blog to make it wonderful for my readers. I think to get my feet wet, I will use Pinterest as my guide as to the different things I'd like to share. Is that cheating??

I've decided to declare Wednesdays as "workout Wednesdays"  Each Wednesday I will be posting a new round of workouts that I have tried out, in hopes that you all will try.  Lets see how this goes.

For those of you that do try them, I WANT YOUR FEEDBACK.  Comments, Comments, Comments.

The more blogs I read, it seems to be that most post one a day.  Is this a rule of blogging?  I don't believe that I'll be able to just do one a day.  Some days yes, but I'm a writer (according to myself) So I will be posting more than one.

I'll be back later with the first work out of "Workout Wednesdays" later on this evening.

Enjoy the day, friends!

::bursting with excitement::

This is my first ever blog, and I could not be more excited.  As I will use this first post to breakdown what my hopes are for this blog.

As a mom of two little ones, I don't get a lot of "me time."  I'm sure all you other moms out there totally understand that.  I also, have a fiance who isn't so excited about some of the tiny details of my day that I become elated about.  So, for all the things that seem to hold just the interest of us women this is my perfect opportunity to not even bother him with my silly thoughts.

Reality TV is one of my favs, and I have a weekly TV schedule in which I follow extensively.  When the kids go to bed, it's MOM time.. I hope some of you find this similar to your own lives. :)

I also LOVE to read, so what better way to give my thoughts on books to others who enjoy reading as well.

Again, this is my first night, and as the days go on I will begin to catch onto this, and hope to keep it interesting and entertaining to all of my followers.  My intention for this blog isn't just for one specific topic, I hope to eventually get a wide variety of things that us moms can all relate to.

Thanks for reading, and stay tuned for more.
Much love to you !
